Mental health care, close to home.
If you are getting through the days, but only just — or you are watching someone you love do that — you are in the right place.
Nexa Behavioral Health is an outpatient mental health program in Simi Valley, now open. We offer a daytime Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and a morning or evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Our care is built for the stretch between a weekly therapy appointment that is not enough and a hospital that is more than most people need.
Reaching out does not commit you to treatment.
Nexa at a glance
- Open in Simi Valley — call (805) 210-2288 to talk with someone about starting. Nothing on this site books an appointment.
- Three levels of care — daytime PHP, morning or evening IOP, and ongoing outpatient care.
- Home every night — outpatient care, not inpatient hospitalization. Nobody stays overnight.
- Private by design — no forms, no advertising trackers, and no collection of health or insurance information on this website.
If this sounds familiar
Picture a Tuesday. You got to work on time. You answered the emails. You told three different people you were fine, and said it well enough that all three believed you. Then you sat in the car in the driveway for twenty minutes, because walking into the house felt like one more thing to get through.
Nothing about that Tuesday would put you in a hospital. But if it has been every Tuesday for months, one therapy appointment a week can start to feel like bailing out a boat with a teacup. There is a level of care built for exactly that gap, and most people have never heard of it until the week they need it.
Maybe this is not your Tuesday at all. Maybe you are worried about your son, your wife or your mother, and you are reading this late at night because you do not know how to help. This site is written for you too. Read who this kind of care is for.
Three levels of care
Built so you can step down instead of stopping. Call (805) 210-2288 for the weekly schedule. See what each level is like, and how people move between them.
-
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
A full day of structured care, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Despite the name, there are no beds and no overnight stays. You are home in time for dinner.
-
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
A few hours at a time, in the morning or the evening, so that work, school and family can stay in the week.
-
Outpatient care
Regular sessions, less often, after PHP or IOP ends — or on their own, if that is all you need.
If this is an emergency
Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any hour of any day. If this is a medical emergency, or anyone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Nexa is not an emergency service, and this website is not monitored. The 988 Lifeline is answered around the clock, which is why we point you there first.
What it costs
Paying for yourself: call, and we will talk through the options.
Whatever you settle on is put in writing before you start. Nobody should have to choose a level of care without knowing what it costs.
If you have insurance, call and Nexa will check your benefits by phone and tell you what it finds before you commit to anything. No health questions and no insurance details are collected on this website.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
If you do not have health insurance, or you choose not to use it, you have the right to ask for a written estimate of what your care will cost before it starts. Ask on your first call and Nexa will put one in writing. The full notice is on the billing rights page.
Your rights about surprise bills
Federal law limits what you can be billed when you get emergency care, or care from a provider outside your health plan's network at an in-network facility. The full balance-billing notice is on the billing rights page, and it is given to you before your first appointment.
Three things we decided before anything else
What a program refuses to do tells you as much as what it offers. Hold us to these.
- No borrowed faces. No stock photographs and no actors. Any pictures on this site are of this building and the people who work in it.
- No testimonials. A stranger's five stars cannot tell you whether this is right for you. A conversation can.
- A real price, in writing. Before you start, not after.
